This notice explains how ERABORN INC, doing business as Era Born ("Era"), handles information for the augmented-reality mirror at Era's booth 311 at the ASRM 2026 congress in Baltimore, Maryland, from October 24 to 28, 2026. It supplements the full Privacy Policy at eraborn.co/privacy-policy.
What the mirror does
A camera on top of a screen at the booth shows the people in front of it, including anyone passing by. Whoever stands on the marked spot sees themselves wearing a costume effect: an eye mask, a collar and wrist cuffs. The effect is a Snap Lens, run by Snap Inc.'s Camera Kit software on the booth's computer.
What we collect
Nothing. Era does not record, save, send or share images or video from the mirror. There are no photos, no QR codes and no sign-up, and Era collects no personal information through it. The camera image is used live, on the booth computer, only to place the effect on screen.
Snap's Camera Kit
Camera Kit is provided by Snap Inc. In Snap's words, its technology "locates certain features (like where your hands, eyes, and nose are) and uses that information to put the Lens in the right place". At the booth this happens on the booth computer, and it also finds the body, so the costume follows you. Camera Kit also sends Snap technical information about how it is running, and keeps small technical records in the booth computer's browser, such as the effect's files and the acceptance of Snap's terms.
Snap's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply to Camera Kit, and Snap's own prompt asks for them to be accepted before the mirror is used. Snap's Privacy Policy is incorporated into this notice by reference:
Sharing
Era keeps nothing from the mirror, so there is nothing for Era to share.
Your choice
Using the mirror is optional. Step off the marked spot, or out of the camera's view, and the effect stops.
